Otros Caminos was born out of the concerns of a group of professionals from different walks of life. They bring together their interest in rural tourism, culture and nature, with their passion for cycle touring. We operate from a base in collaboration with other companies and organizations sharing our concern for rural development and sustainable tourism in Andalusia, such as El Legado Andalusí, La Caja General de Ahorros de Granada and Sierra Nevada.
In March 2002, Granada, Otros Caminos S.L. was born, aiming to look and to draw attention to our towns and villages, their history, traditions and natural environment. All this is done through research, design and documentation in publications and the organization of journeys following romantic itineraries across Andalusia.
This is our way of contributing to the promotion, conservation and sustainable development of our rural and natural heritage. Furthermore, we are committed to investing 10% of all our profits in projects for the responsible development of the countryside, its culture and its villages.
Since then we have dedicated our time to researching, documenting and measuring a broad network of cycling routes (5,000 km mapped by December 2002), to the preparation of carefully designed guidebooks in electronic format (in both Spanish and English), and to the design of guided and self-guided cycling and hiking tours for lovers of nature and culture, either in a group or individually. We are also involved in many other projects which we will give details of as they come to fruition.
Raúl is 45 years old and has the experience, energy and motivation required to transmit his love for the region of Andalusia. Self-taught in the field of tourism, he spent many years working as the marketing director of a bank, turning then to his passion for mountain biking and Andalusian countryside and culture. His concern with the sustainable development of the region lead him, along with several good friends (co-founders of the agency), to design tours promoting autochthonous culture and respect for the natural environment of Andalusia.

38 years old, Sandra came to Andalusia 7 years ago because she loves the region, its people and its gastronomy. One word to sum her up: sincere. Originally trained as a psychologist, she has been working as a hiking and mountain biking guide since she was 20, giving her the experience and professionalism we want for our clients. She knows Andalusia better than many locals, and has herself designed several tours, some of which have become star products, such as Walking in the Land of the Moriscos (the Alpujarra), and Walking in the Grazalema Mountains. She has been with Otros Caminos almost from the start, and was responsible for introducing self-guided tours and tours in small, mixed-nationality groups.
