On this site we will continue to offer you up to date information regarding hiking and biking routes in Andalusia and Spain as a whole. What is more, we can offer detailed advice to help you plan your journey.

Self-Guided Tours.

Whether you want to travel alone or in company, you can obtain travel guides and route information in electronic format, and you can download the GPS navigation files corresponding our routes. We also provide logistical support so that you have nothing to worry about (booking of accommodation, quality bike hire, GPS receiver hire, luggage transfer, telephone helpline, etc.)

Guided tours

If you like the idea of travelling with everything organised, with other people who share your interests, lovers of nature and alternative tourism, here you will find guided expeditions over routes specifically designed by Otros Caminos. Keep an eye on the programme of tours offered on this site. You will experience a different kind of travel.

Our routes are inspired by ancient trails and by the illustrious travellers who once trod them. We aim to show that economic progress and improvements in quality of life in our towns and villages are possible without the decay of traditions and identity. We invite the traveller to come off the tarmac, get on his/her bike or sling his/her rucksack to share a unique and vital experience.

Services on self-guided tours.

All the important things en route (contemplation, meeting new people, surprises, the joys and trials of the trail…) are left up to you. All the necessary extras we can take care of.

We reserve the best accommodation for you, based on its location within the itinerary, its quality of services and the warmth of its welcome. We also place importance, of course, on the availability of quality home cooking based on typical local dishes.

Luggage transfer, stage by stage:
If you would rather not carry your luggage with you as you progress through the itinerary, let us arrange for it to be transported, waiting for you at your hotel each afternoon.

Quality bike hire:
If you are coming from far away, if you don't want to transport your own bike, or if you don't have the ideal bike for the type of route you choose, we can hire you an excellent mountain bike with lightweight aluminium frame and equipped with front suspension, 27 gears, V-brakes, and Shimano Deore components.
... and of course the most complete information:
With our route guides that combine the usefulness of a photographic terrain guide with detailed cultural notes, you will have all the necessary information at your fingertips. If you like modern technology, and would like to travel even more comfortable, we would recommend you hire one of our GPS (satellite navigation) receivers or simply download the corresponding navigation files if you already have your own equipment.

In a group guided tours
This is the ideal option for people who want to share the experience of travel with like-minded souls, and who don't want to have to worry about any of the organisation. "Carpe Diem" could be the motto of our group tours. You will have all the services at your disposal for your comfort, without missing out on an ounce of the emotion and adventure of riding and walking through villages, countryside and mountains. In any case, we always make our groups small (maximum 18 travellers).

Services avaiable on guided tours.

On these tours we take care of everything: rural accommodation of the highest quality, home-cooked meals, transfers… And above all, we make sure you make the most of every kilometre of the journey.
TEAM OF GUIDING STAFF:
2-3 professional guides (qualified in first aid, bike mechanics, orienteering, etc.) accompany all our groups , guiding and looking after each traveller, giving advice on everything from how to warm up muscles, how to spread energy consumption over the course of the day, how to tackle more technical or demanding sections, to the best ways to eat and drink while cycling.

Support vehicle:
We will always give you full information about a route's difficulty. Nevertheless, there is no need to worry about your state of fitness too much. The bike is a wonderful excuse to ge out into the country and there is no element of competition on our routes. Our aim is that each traveller finds his or her own comfortable rhythm. If you do get tired, our support vehicle will be on hand to pick you up, or just to provide you with food or drinks you might need. It will also be available to conduct any necessary bike repairs.

Picnics en route:
Any kind of extended physical activity requires periodical energy intake. There is nothing better than an improvised table out in the countryside to get to know each other and exchange stories. This is why we offer delicious en route picnics on our group tours: rice or pasta, cold and preserved meats, omelettes, cakes, dried fruits and soft drinks.

Our routes are previously unpublished and come together to form a network of trails throughout Andalusia, to enable us to walk, ride, discover villages and their peoples, cross forests, explore coastlines, share customs and traditions… but along different routes.
